A broken angel

Each child an angel sent from god

A test of nature a test of strength

Can they do the job they have being sent?

A broken angel lay in bed, tears of blood turning it red

No physical hurt has come her way

None is needed to take this angel away

The words alone are enough to leave scars

No physical hurt is needed to take this angel away

The violence she watches daily breaks her away

The hurled abuse from one to another

The angel tries to defend her ears

She takes it all in, and slowly breaks

This is all that is needed to take the angel away

The angel stands small and weak

Against a giant with greed

His life is fun caused by others misery

This is all that is needed to take the angel away

The angel watches as the giant turns mean

His humour turning sour and killing living things

She watches with wide eyes as he stamps on the tiny hamsters

Tears of blood falling as the kittens are murdered

There is no physical hurt needed to take this angel away

Just the things she witnessed every day.
